SUMMARY:Psychological First Aid and Psychosocial Crisis Response
DESCRIPTION:CISAF’s first event was a training workshop that centered around supporting overseas staff experiencing critical incidents. It was held in Ottawa and facilitated by The KonTerra Group. Participants gained practical tools to help colleagues recover from critical incidents\, prioritize and meet immediate needs\, and increase resilience. We also strengthened our understanding of chronic stress\, vicarious trauma and responder resilience to better enable ourselves to care for others. \n
